We want to make the best products we can—and Kickstarter lets us connect with real users even before production begins.
What Is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter was founded in 2009. It’s a crowdfunding platform designed specifically for creative projects. You can think of it as a huge online marketplace of ideas—creators share their visions here, and the public can “vote with their wallets” to support the projects they’d love to see come true.
It’s important to note that Kickstarter is not a retail store. You’re backing a “project,” not buying a finished product. This means there can be risks—delays, changes, or even failures.
About Risks and Trust
Yes, Kickstarter isn’t a perfect platform for consumers. Our founder has backed some projects that never fulfilled their promises. And yes, there are scammers—people who launch projects without ever intending to deliver. For makers like us who take product development seriously, these cases are frustrating and make trust harder to build with backers.
But we found our own way—sincerity. We treat every backer with honesty and respect. Those who have communicated with us before can probably feel that sincerity.
Our First Kickstarter Experience: Makagic VS01
Last year, we launched our very first product on Kickstarter — Makagic VS01. That experience meant a lot to us.
We not only achieved our funding goal but, more importantly, despite some delays, we successfully delivered the product. Throughout the campaign, we kept our backers updated at every stage with transparent progress reports.
We also received tons of valuable feedback from our backers—ideas that taught us to listen better, refine our designs, and pay attention to every little detail. Thanks to that journey, we’ve gained both confidence and clarity:
A great product isn’t just “built”—it grows together with its users.
The New Challenge
This time, we’re bringing something new. The development process has been full of challenges—from structural design and algorithm optimization to production validation. Every step takes time and persistence.
We spend our days designing, testing, and improving. Every measurement error, every tiny adjustment, is a dialogue between us and reality. We know the road isn’t easy: hardware development is expensive, time-consuming, and full of unexpected obstacles.
But we chose to persevere. Because when we first held the prototype in our hands and saw it precisely measure the distance between any two points in space, we knew—it was all worth it.
We are a small team with no big budget or investor support. That means every decision must be thoughtful—a careful balance of performance, experience, cost, and time. Sometimes, we spend weeks verifying what looks like a tiny improvement.
Why Kickstarter Again?
That’s exactly why we’re returning to Kickstarter. Before mass production begins, we want to connect with real users, hear your thoughts—your experiences, suggestions, expectations, and even doubts. All of that feedback makes the product better.
Kickstarter gives us a way to build that connection early—to involve users before the final product takes shape, and to refine it together with your input.
We are not a big company. We’re just a small team that takes product-making seriously. But we believe that with the right direction, steady pace, and honest communication, we can deliver on every promise we make.
That’s why we’ve chosen Kickstarter again—because this is where dreams are taken seriously.
Launch Time
Our new product will launch on Kickstarter at 09:00 AM (EST, UTC−05:00) on October 16, 2025.
