The space measurement feature is what sold me. It’s different from a regular laser measure and has been really handy for DIY projects.

I mainly bought the L7 because of the two-point measurement feature. I’ve used regular laser measures for years, but there are times when you just don’t have a good surface to measure against.

With this one, I can measure one point, turn to the second point, and get the distance between them without changing where I’m standing. I’ve been using it for cabinets and a few projects around the house, and that feature has come in handy more than I expected.

I still use my regular tape and laser measure for basic jobs, but the L7 is useful for measurements they can’t easily handle. Happy with it so far.

Just got my L7 today. I won’t say it’s cheap, but after opening the box, I can see where the price comes from. It feels solid, well made, and I’m really impressed by how much technology is packed into this little thing.

Got my L7 last week after waiting about a week for delivery.
I use laser measures pretty often for work and already have a Bosch and a Leica. Neither of them can do this two-point measurement thing, so tbh, that was the main reason I wanted to try the L7.

I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the accuracy. I mostly bought it because the idea seemed cool, but after using it for a few days, I’m actually pretty surprised. It’s more accurate than I expected, and the two-point feature is genuinely useful when a regular laser measure is awkward or just can’t get the job done.
They’ve also pushed out a few firmware updates already, and support has replied pretty quickly whenever I’ve had questions. You can tell the team is actually listening and trying to improve the product instead of just selling it and disappearing, which I really appreciate.
My only complaint is that it’s kinda tiny. The metal frame feels nice, but the front panel is plastic. The whole thing looks and feels almost too nice to use on a real job site lol. I’m probably gonna scratch it the second I throw it in my tool bag.
Overall, I’m really happy with it so far. It’s definitely not perfect, but the idea is great and it works way better than I expected. Hopefully the next version will be a little more rugged.

Used the MakaGiC L7 during a door installation job. It’s compact, easy to handle with gloves on, and much faster than pulling out a tape measure. Great for quick distance and space measurements on site.

It really is a brilliant device. The only thing I miss is the hole for a lanyard.

What I like most is the spatial measurement feature. It lets me measure between two points without having to physically reach both ends, which is very helpful for ceilings, walls, and hard-to-reach areas.
There is a small learning curve, especially for the space measurement mode, and it works best when you hold the device steady and avoid very strong sunlight.
But after a few tries, the results are consistent and much faster than using a tape measure in many situations.

This is not just a regular laser measure, so it takes some time to learn all the modes. After watching the guide and trying it a few times, I understood how to hold it steady and use the space measurement properly. It is a clever tool.
