Final sprint: We plan to start shipping in mid-September!

We have successfully started the production of peripherals! Reading Final sprint: We plan to start shipping in mid-September! 6 minutes Next Good news: Full production has begun!
Dear fellow Backers:

On the 14th of August, we posted an UPDATE to update you on our progress. We started production as soon as the peripheral parts arrived in the warehouse. As of today, we have completed production and testing of over 200 peripherals, and they are sitting on the shelves waiting to be packed and delivered to you!
Today, I would like to update you backers on the progress of our MakaGiC VS-01!
As I reported to you backers earlier, we have received 80% of the parts from our suppliers, and on the 19th of August the material from the CNC arrived on the shelves of our factory. These CNC parts are mainly used for the movement of the jaws, which requires a very high level of accuracy, so it took a lot of time!
This means that we now only have die-cast parts left to return to the warehouse.
The production of die-cast parts is certainly one of the biggest challenges we face in our production process.
The parts pictured below are made through the die-casting process and as you can see, are very important parts, which is why we have to wait for the die cast parts to be in place before we can start production.
We have been optimising this part for the past few months. Even though the die casting mould was completed back in June, the part produced has not been up to our requirements. We have modified the mould 3 times to optimise these imperfections, which has taken a lot of time and effort.
Here I show you some of the defects we have been optimising:
To overcome this challenge, we have taken aggressive and decisive measures. Experienced engineers were sent directly to the production site.
On the 26th of August, our engineers came back from the factory with the good news that the production of the die-cast part has also started! Let me tell you how the part was produced:
  • The melted aluminium alloy liquid is injected into the mould under high pressure (here the engineer didn't take a picture, I'm using an animation to represent it).
  • After cooling down, We can get the blank of the part, which is the shell part of MakaGiC VS-01 that our engineers sent back from the site to be produced.

In August, our team overcame many challenges and worked hard to move the project forward. Thanks to every backer's understanding and support, which is our motivation to keep moving forward.
At the beginning of September, we will start the assembly work of Makagic VS01. Based on the current production progress and material preparation, we expect to complete the production of the first batch of 500 sets before 15th September. We promise to return your trust with the best quality.
By that time, all the MakaGiC VS-01s that have completed production and quality control will be packed and shipped to Backers all over the world one by one according to the order sequence. We understand the importance of time for every Backer, and will do our best to ensure that the shipping process is efficient and accurate.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our customers for their understanding and support of our work. In order to ensure a smooth shipping process, a dedicated customer service channel will be opened after the shipment, ready to answer your questions and handle your needs. Whether you have any questions about shipping progress, product information or after-sales service, please feel free to contact us at support@makagic.com.
In addition, in order to better serve you and let more people know the latest news of MakaGiC, we have opened an official FACEBOOK account, which is still in the early stage and still needs the support of all the great Backers, so we sincerely invite you to pay attention to it, which is very important to us. Through this account, we will share some of the daily use of MakaGiC, the story of our development of MakaGiC, as well as discuss with you the new products of MakaGiC!
