This UPDATE is a little later than we expected. The current work progress is a bit delayed, but thankfully it's on track and on schedule. The original plan was to start deliveries at the end of this month, but we must admit that we found some problems in our assembly process for the trial production, which is important for our subsequent mass production, so we have to take some time to make adjustments. This has led to a delay in our shipping time. Here are some of the things we've been working on. We want to share everything with you.
At the beginning of this month we started the parts preparation, and most of the materials, especially the electronic ones, are going very well.
We have also received parts produced from the moulds. The machining of the moulds was time consuming, but thankfully we finally received them, although they still need to be optimised.
At the same time, we also started to set up our assembly line. This assembly line was built completely from scratch, for example, the special table for assembly in the picture was not in this room at all before.
Our production line is based on the Cell production method, which can be flexibly adapted.
In the middle of the month, we went through the assembly SOPs. After confirming that there were no problems, we started the actual assembly. As you can see, above each assembly station, there is an electronic screen showing which assembly step the person at this station is responsible for.
In the beginning it always goes a little bit off plan, but that's to be expected. We found about twenty issues that we need to work on during the trial production.
Here are a few of the VS 01s that we assembled during the trial.
One of the bigger problems is that some of the parts are defective, which leads to the parts not being able to be fixed/embedded well during the assembly process, and this also leads to mechanical the assembled VS 01 having false positions, gaps, etc. in some places.
We hope that the received REWARD that you receive is IN GOOD CONDITION, at least the problems we found before we send it out can be solved. So we will optimise the mechanical parts and the assembly process in the first two weeks of July. To ensure the subsequent mass production smoothly.
While optimising the assembly SOP, we also performed high and low temperature tests on one of the assembled VS 01
High and low temperature shock test: that is, the VS 01 will be placed in -30 ℃ ~ 40 degrees Celsius shock 12 hours, during the period of time will be in the special testing equipment, -30 degrees insulation for 10 minutes, and suddenly heated to 40 degrees insulation for 10 minutes, and so on alternately for 12 hours.
You can see the matte texture on the surface of the VS 01 in the picture, which is the result of dew condensation on the metal surface after experiencing the low-temperature test. The excellent performance of the VS 01 allows it to run smoothly in such a harsh environment, which proves that our product design is reliable enough.
Next VS01 will have to undergo salt spray test, aging test, vibration test, Electromagnetic compatibility test, etc. We will also go for the strict implementation as required, please continue to STAY TUNED to be able to receive the test UPDATE for VS 01.
Finally, once again, we would like to say thank you as well as sorry 🙇, we have finished assembling some samples and could have shipped them to some of our backers. However, this batch of samples is still not up to the perfect quality we have in mind, so we decided to wait for further optimisation before shipping to our backers. Hope you can understand our decision.
Production has been more difficult than we expected, but our engineers and suppliers are working hard to resolve the issues, we're working towards our goal of shipping to you in July, and we'll keep you updated on our progress. We hope you can understand if we don't deliver on time, we are doing our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of the best quality. Please trust us, we are doing our best to deliver for you! your support is our greatest motivation!
