All Set for Assembly: MakaGic VS01 Prepares for Final Production Phase

Dear Backers,

May has been a busy month for us as the MakaGic VS01 project progresses rapidly. Over the past twenty days, we have focused on producing the structural components and circuit boards.

After confirming that the production molds were ready, we started trial production of the VS01 base at the beginning of this month. Below is an image of the base component after die casting. Next, we'll proceed with surface treatment and polishing.

Our component production is also underway. Can you guess where these parts fit into the VS 01?

The day before yesterday, our supplier sent us the latest sample parts: jaws, lead screws, and gears. Through continuous communication and effort, the cylindricity tolerance of the transmission parts is now controlled within 0.08mm. Reducing tolerance minimizes structural shaking and can provide a better user experience.

While actively communicating with our structural component manufacturers, we were working on producing the PCBs simultaneously. Look at this big guy—this is the primary equipment for our PCB production.

What’s more, we received our custom display modules last week!

Before assembly into the VS 01, all the PCBs will be tested on our customized test rigs. Only the boards that light up green will move on to the next stage.

On the left is the test rig for the mainboard PCB, and on the right is the test rig for the display screen.

After assembly, the VS01 will undergo a series of rigorous tests, including aging tests, high and low-temperature shock tests, and vibration tests.

In the next two weeks, we'll conduct thorough testing on the VS01.

Additionally, in our May packaging tests, we discovered that the previous packaging solution needed improvement. In the new version, we enhanced the packaging cushioning, which has slightly increased the packaging size.

We will continue to perform drop tests on the new packaging to ensure everyone receives their VS01 in perfect condition.

If the product passes all the tests, it is expected to start shipping in batches gradually from late June.

Thank you for your continued support and patience.
